What is Domain??

Domain, or "domain name" as it is known in Turkish, is an address system used to provide access to websites on the internet and converts IP addresses into names that people can easily remember. While IP addresses have a complex structure consisting of numbers, domain names transform these numbers into a more meaningful and memorable form, allowing internet users to access websites more easily.

For example, an IP address may be of the form "192.0.2.44". These numbers are difficult to remember. However, when a domain name such as "ornekwebsite.com" is assigned to this IP address, users can directly access the site with this name.

Domains usually consist of two parts:

Domain Name: The name that users type to visit the website. For example "ornekwebsite" or "google".

Extension: It is the part at the end of the domain name that usually gives information about the type or origin of the website. For example ".com", ".org", ".net", ".gov.tr".
